Calum Chambers evaded questions over his future after beginning his Euro 2017 tournament by helping England Under-21s to a clean sheet against holders Sweden.
Chambers spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough and faces a major battle to establish himself in an Arsenal side blessed with numerous defensive options.
Since Chambers went north Rob Holding has emerged as the bright young prospect in the Arsenal defence whilst Nacho Monreal has proven his worth as a centre-back, a position that Arsene Wenger has suggested he will be considered for on a more long-term basis next season.
