On This Day February 28th

28th February 1964 A young John Radford signed his professional papers before going on to make 481 appearances for the club and becoming one of the first double winners.

28th February 1914 in the first season at the Arsenal Stadium, Woolwich Arsenal grabbed a 2-1 win over Blackpool. 

George Jobey (Pictured) and Donald Slade got the goals for the narrow victory.

28th February 2004 Arsenal welcomed Charlton Athletic to Highbury and went two up in four minutes through Robert Pires and Theirry Henry.
